One Week To Go...
Yup, one more week to go and I will take my NCLEX exam already, syempre halo-halong emosyon ulit ito (kaba, takot, at kung anu-ano pa)
Grabe parang deja vu ang nagaganap sa buhay ko ngayon, I remember making an entry, same with this one when I was about to take my local boards (ito sya o...). At that time syempre ang nasa isip ko, "what will happen to me kung maging casualty ako?"...ngayon iba na ang problem ko, I'm thinking more of "if I fail this sayang naman ang hirap, pagod at perang ibinuhos ko para lang ma-take ang exam na ito."
Anyways, because I have only one more week to go, super cramming ata ang ginagawa ko when I realized na there's so many computer exams na hindi ko pa nasasagutan
...at kahit nga yung plans ko on how I will spent my days e hindi na nasusunod..hays!
Anyways, right now, taking break muna para maibuhos ko itong pinaghalong kaba at takot ko... isa lang naman ang gusto kong mangyari sa buhay ko ngayon at yun ay ang matapos na ang exam na ito at makapasa ako
...hindi ba pwede un?? Hopefully, lahat ng nabasa ko, e tumatak sa utak ko, so when the time comes na kelangan ko sila e madali lang hugutin dito sa kokote ko....
O sya, o sya, now that I ventilated my concerns, sana naman mabawasan na itong anxiety level ko, para maging productive sya and not an obstacle sa buhay ko...and lastly I hope God will help me all the way again like last time hanggang matapos itong isa nanamang pagsubok sa aking buhay....

Addict sa Pagiging Pinoy!
Tinatamad na talaga ako, as in sobrang tinatamad ako sa pag-aaral, pagbabasa, pag-rereview o kung ano man ang maitatawag sa ginagawa ko ngayon...so para maiba naman I decided to blog for awhile (at na-realize kong hindi na pala ako nakakapag-blog) so here I am blogging again...
So to start, I just realized today na parati akong gumagawa ng mga reviews about dramas (mapa-Taiwanese man ito or Japanese or even Korean), movies, anime, and manga, basta sinipag ako at gusto ko ung gagawan ko ng review, gagawa talaga ako pero I've just realized na bakit parang hindi pa ako nag-rereview ng Filipino dramas/movies (except for this one, na sobrang negative pa ata ang pagkaka-review ko)...ganun ba kapangit ang sariling drama series natin at hindi ko sila na-eenjoy??? Well, hindi naman ata lahat pangit merong iba maganda pero lately kasi puros fantaserye at remake na lang ang ginagawa ng mga TV station natin, merong ibang hindi kaso maganda lang sa simula pagtagal e pumapangit na rin...I think one of my problem regarding Filipino series e medyo stressful sila panuorin at hindi ka mapapa-"relax and enjoy" unlike kapag nanunuod ka ng mga romantic comedy series from other countries. Aside from that medyo walang continuity (yun ba ang tamang term dito?) kapag nanunuod ako ng mga teleserye unlike if you are watching a series on DVD, pwede mong tapusin ung series in one sitting at syempre ramdam mo ung bawat scene kasi walang mga commercial breaks at dere-deretso ang panunuod until the end. Pero kahit na ganun I've decided na someday I will review a teleserye, pangit man sya or hindi gagawa ako (basta nasubaybayan ko) pero kung kelan hindi ko pa alam.
And speaking of making a teleserye review, this past few days, medyo nagiging nationalistic ata ako, imagine gusto kong aralin ang alibata.
So that's it muna...na-guiguilty kasi ako sa hindi ko pagrereview kaya magrereview muna ulit ako...

When Turtle Girl Meets Her Jinx
"Our meeting was actually a beautiful accident. Actually, at the beginning, I didn't like him. I only thought he was a stuck up superstar who liked to act cool. And I've had bad luck ever since the day I met him. So, I've always thought that he must be a JINX in my life.
Actually, I also didn't like her at the beginning. I always wondered, how could there be someone on earth as dumb as she is. I remember the first day I went to Ding Feng University, the other students were telling her to wear the turtle shell and she really did. After that, I felt that Cheng Xiao Shi is indeed the dumbest of all. Thereafter, I always teased her and called her, TURTLE GIRL." - Xiao Shi and He Qun
It’s been a while since I've watched a Taiwanese drama. If I remember it correctly, I've watched my last Taiwanese drama 9 months ago and it was Hana Kimi starring Wu Chun and Ella, after that I became addicted to Jdoramas. But last week, is a different story. After waiting for months, I was able to buy a dvd of Smiling Pasta, a Taiwanese drama starring Nicholas Teo and Cyndi Wang.

INTRODUCTION
Smiling Pasta is a story of Cheng Xiao Shi (Cyndi Wang) who has gone through many short relationships, 17 to be exact, not one lasting more than 3 months hence, she was cursed with a three-month love curse. After being dumped by her 17th boyfriend, the world looks grimmer than ever. At that time, a famous idol, He Qun (Nicholas Teo) runs past, bumps into her, and they end up "kissing" on the street.
Paparazzi swarmed by and to avoid a bad reputation, He Qun’s manager declared Xiao Shi as He Qun’s girlfriend of one year and they are engaged. Thus, a love contract was made. This story is about how the couple learns to like each other after having disagreements in the beginning, as well as fighting the injustices the media throw at them. Will Xiao Shi finally break her 3 month curse? – Dramawiki
REVIEW
Although it was said that this was a remake of the Korean hit series, Full House (starring Rain and Song Hye Kyo), for me, their only similarities is that the guy is a famous celebrity and that there is a love contract involved but overall, this series has its own identity and can stand on its own.
This is my first time seeing Nicholas and Cyndi act in a drama but I guess they did very well. Nicholas portraying a role as a superstar was alright. He did a nice job showing the complexity of his character, from being an idol to a son/brother to a charming lover. He showed how difficult it is to be a celebrity and how lonely his character really is when it comes to his family. Cyndi, on the other hand, acted well too, portraying an innocent girl although there are times that I think she acted exaggeratedly just to be cute. There may be times that her character was irritating and seems very stupid but at the long run you’ll gonna love her and I think it is all possible because of how Cyndi portrayed it. But what is most important in this series is the chemistry between these two actors. I think it is because of their good chemistry that makes this drama a hit.
Another thing that is good in this series is their soundtrack, from the cheery song, Rainbow’s Smile by Cyndi Wang, from the sad song, Tears From Polaris of Nicholas Teo to the heartwarming Little Turtle also by Nicholas. All of these songs reflect the message the drama wants to impart to the audience at the same time giving life to the series.
All in all, although the plot is somewhat predictable and there are few scenes that are dragging, this light-hearted romantic comedy series was fun to watch, entertaining and will make you smile all throughout.
RATING: ![]()

But before I end this review, I want to share the MV of one of the soundtrack of the series. The song is called Little Turtle sung by Nicholas Teo, actually this is one of my favorite songs in the series' OST because of its heartwarming message. So please enjoy!

Finally Over...Happy Halloween!!!
Today, our training officially ended. After almost three months of training, masasabi kong magkakaroon na ulit ako ng bakasyon or rather babalik na ulit ako sa pagiging isang professional bum. Pero right now, okay lang sya kasi ang next goal ko e ang maipasa ang naudlot kong NCLEX exam, which if not for the training, I should have already taken last September.
Anyways, dahil na-miss ko masyado ang pag-iinternet, I've decided to browse at dahil dun ang dami kong nabasa na kung anu-ano, syempre mostly related sa mga animes, mangas and tv series ang mga nakita kong articles, and here are some of it:
- A new season of Full Metal Alchemist is already confirmed. In the 20th manga volume, Arakawa announced that a second Fullmetal Alchemist
anime television series is currently being produced. Earlier
speculation from a purported document leaks has Bones again acting as
the production company and Yasuhiro Irie is announced to be series
director. The title series is expected to premier in April 2009 with the same name of the previous series. (Anime News Network)
- After the Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations, Tsubasa Chronicle will have another OVA and will be called Tsubasa Shunraiki and will be two episodes that will be released on March 17 and then April 17th next year. (Anime News Network)
- After "Kahit Isang Saglit," a series co-produced by ABS-CBN Philippines and Double Vision Malaysia, there was a rumor that Double Vision is now helping ABS-CBN to produce another TV series for 2009, but this time around it will be a team up with South Korea. According to the rumors, Korean singer-actress Eugene will be the leading lady to the new project entitled Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka with ABS-CBN stars. (Wikipedia)
- After being a hit series in Taiwan and Japan, KBS2 of South Korea is now producing their own version of Meteor Garden or Hana Yori Dango with the title, Boys Over Flowers. On the other hand, there are rumors that ABS-CBN in the Philippines is said to be interested in buying the rights of Meteor Garden to do their own Filipino version of the series. (Wikipedia)
Nga pala because today is October 31, I would like to greet all of you a Happy Halloween and leave this story as a halloween treat..hehehe:
The Legend of Jack-O-Lantern
The tradition of carving faces into vegetables comes from Ireland. They mostly used turnips, and instead of lighting with a candle like we do now, a hot coal was set inside back then.
The legend tells of how a drunk named Jack met the Devil on his last day here on earth. He bargained with the Devil to buy him one last drink. When the Devil changed into sixpence to pay for Jack's drink, Jack put him in his pocket instead. The Devil couldn't get out for quite a long time because there was a silver cross in the pocket too. When the Devil did escape Jack tricked him again and made the Devil promise never to come back for him again. Jack died soon after that. When he died, his gloomy past kept him out of Heaven, and the Devil couldn't take him either, so he was doomed to walk the earth until Judgment Day. Jack begged for light to shine his way, so the Devil threw him a burning coal from his fires. Jack put the coal in a turnip and held it in his arms at night as he walked the roads.
Jack of Lanterns or "Jack-O-Lantern" became a symbol of an unfortunate lost soul.
